The artist is attempting to contain a temporality that is personified by  impermanence and change. A constant rotation that sees probability on the cusp  of a transitory present dissolving into remembrance.'

'​McElroy in her practice is repurposing materials to capture and  explore an ephemerality that is grounded in the reality of the everyday. These  found materials are juxtaposed with unfocused images. Blurred photographs of  indistinct layers personify the transient moment of their capture.'
